discuss ITk DCS

1) Humidity

• first FOS package delivered to Strips yesterday
• Next need-by date July 15 for sensor #2
• discussion on 8-layer vs 10-layer TiO2 coating: 8-layer preferred for sensitivity and radiation hardness, used in final sensors
• issue with analysis of spectrum data: averaging of sampling at 110Hz, analysis software to be corrected to improve granularity of sampling

 

2) Temperature

• IST confirmed delivery date Oct 10 for large order of sensors (1850 pcs), no reason given, should not be on critical path
• Will confirm batch delivery of 200 pcs at a time
• Type-1 cable available for routing
• Presentation on mounting for sensors planned for cooling meeting tomorrow
• In contact with Luca and Shane for DCS software readout
• ELMB carrier board known production issues already reported - being reworked

 

3) DCS software

• Luca working on common DCS interface for Temperature, Humidity, Radmon sensors
• Shane has access to 161 lab and has started working with Luca
• For humidity: ELMB interface common for sacrificial sensor.  For interrogator, storage on local host and then interface to OPC server 8080
• Instructions for radmon test system readout sent to Igor

 

4) AOB

• Type-II cable from axon (700m) arrived at CERN, basic checks on number of connectors (Alejandro), store w. Spyros

Status of production: update of assembly procedure, inventory, procurement
Update of calibration code: DPM, HIH, NTC, PT10k
