2nd WG4 General Meeting

Europe/Zurich
Håkan Wennlöf (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)), Marco Mandurrino (Universita e INFN Torino (IT))

The Meeting opened at 3pm and closed at 3.25
The number of attendees peaked at 20.

Some updates about WG4 were presented:

  • The sub-group and meeting organisation proposal has been updated to accommodate comments brought forth after the last meeting
    • The new categories are more oriented towards the research goals (RGs) of WG4
    • A compromise between EoIs and RGs, intended to cover the ongoing work and provide context in the larger DRD3 collaboration
  • The dates for the meetings during the summer were discussed. As it's holiday-times, the question is when to hold the next meeting and carry on fortnightly from there. A Doodle will be sent out with the three presented alternatives.

Thomas Bergauer clarified that it's useful to have both a bottom-up and top-down approach to the categorisation and the work, as the work towards the RGs are what will be reviewed in the end. It is thus nice to have the RGs represented more as sub-groups.

The question came up whether meeting every two weeks is too frequent. For the time being it will be kept like this, but if the meetings are always brief and without updates and discussions, the frequency will be reduced.
