Tuners 16 + 20 (with antennas) are the most effective to retune, showng the problem lies in the coupler region. Tuners need to go further in.
We agree than the antenna tuners can be used. Lee will calculate tuner displacements including 3 tuners (includig antennas).
Suitbert recommends to look for a solution, where the antennas could be swapped, and spacers added to achieve close to the desired result, including using the spare tuner. This would give confidence before remachining.
Including measurements with different temperature distributions, we expect 2-3 weeks to conclude on the lengths needed.
It was agreed the RF team can conclude this and start the machining (no need to hold a full meeting).
Suitbert reported that the new support will be at CERN earliest end of September (it is still in the design phase). At the moment the retuning is therefore not on the critical path, but could become so if there are other surprises.
