Welcome to the "Ceph New Users Workshop"!
This session, held just before Cephalocon 2024, is designed to introduce you to the world of Ceph, one of the most powerful and flexible software-defined storage solutions available today. Whether you're new to Ceph or just looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop will guide you through the fundamentals, and by the end of the day, you'll be well on your way to installing your own Ceph cluster. Let's dive in and start building your knowledge together!
Logistics
New Users should pickup their access badges (ID required) at the CERN Community Support Centre (Building 33) before 10:45, nearby CERN's public transport stop. The workshop will begin at 11:00 in the CERN IT Amphitheatre (Building 31) -- this is a 10-15 minute walk from where you collect your badges.
Attendees are required to bring their own laptop to participate in the Hands-On Ceph training.
