    These were developed for astro-particle experiments. The details of these developments and the possibility to use them for HEP experiments will be discussed. One interesting aspect is the potential to have reduced chromatic error in the Cherenkov angle measurement, compared to that from detectors optimized for the UV part of the spectrum.
