Discussion on how we want to use BLonD
Which Python version to support?
- accpy and lcg distributions: python3.11,
- python3.11 and 3.12 yes, and 3.10,
- as soon as a new version is available, include it in the CI to see what will bring problems.
We need to be careful with numpy, scipy, matplotlib versions
- numpy2 includes breaking changes
Documentation?
- Docstrings
- reStructuredText or google?
- Come back with some examples
- requirements: auto-generate and equations/description
- Check: integration with vscode, pycharm and CI
GitLab runners?
- Automated GPU testing?
- Check that it's runners that are being maintained
GitHub
- GitHub issues - disable? was maintained for external users
GitHub BLonD-org
- Stalled
- Easier management with group organization, before migrating to gitlab
- blond_common to be migrated to GitLab, no mirroring needed, archive
- BLonD-cedar - data analysis for open use, but no active development -> archive
- Sub-group of legacy code?
- BLonD-Data - legacy
- BLonD-Design - legacy
- BLonD-backup - legacy
- submission_scripts - being used
