Neutrino Anomaly Searches In MicroBooNE 50m

MicroBooNE is a liquid argon time projection chamber in the Booster Neutrino Beam at Fermilab. MicroBooNE is investigating the MiniBooNE low energy excess (LEE), an anomalously large observed rate of events containing a single electromagnetic shower. In this talk, I will describe searches for single shower events in MicroBooNE, including electron showers, photon showers, and beyond-the-standard-model electron positron pairs. Models considered include 3+1 sterile neutrino oscillations, enhanced neutral current Delta radiative decays, enhanced neutral current coherent single photon production, a 2D unfolding of the MiniBooNE LEE into true energy and angle for single photons with no hadronic activity, and a potential dark neutrino source of electron-positron pairs.
