Several authors were away due to the ongoing demonstrator workshop at FNAL

The meeting focused on the Evaluation report, with authors taking turns reporting on their sections.

Good progress, with a relatively few sections still missing inputs

FM reminded the R&D editors that the deadline for inputs is the 31st October. Require 1 slide with main deliverables and approximate FTE and material costs over 10 years.

  • Q: for physics and detectors some progress will happen anyway / be funded by non-project-specific activities, will you take that into account?
A: yes. Even better if you are able to give estimates broken down in these two categories

  • Q: can we be less precise when discussing years 5-10?
    A: yes

  • Q: what are the goals of the R&D? What level should we aim for?
A: Readiness for decision in 10 years. Likely CDR ready by then, will be confirmed with management and reported back.

  • Q: when preparing R&D should we count only EU resources or more global (i.e. US)?
    A: global

Collective effects should be promoted to standalone section as in interim report
