Ownership/maintenance of the vacuum equipments:

• Torsten points out that this is not the standard beam vacuum and in addition our schedule for purging and cooldown doesn't always alight with the vacuum group timing. So it is optimum that we keep the ownership but ask TE-VSC for help in maintaining.

 

Deadlines/Dates reminder

• EYETS24-25: 2 Dec 2024 - 27 dec 2025 ?
• X-mas break: 21 Dec 2024 - 5 Jan 2025
• AD run 2025 start date:
• Cooldown of AD BCCCA: end of Feb 2025

 

Updates:

• New turbo pump from Geramny will arrive mid Jan 2025 (A. Sinturel)
• New vacuum parts are here, to maximize CF connections and add all metal angle valve, pirani/penning gauge etc (Gunn)
• New charcoal adsorber arriving by end of Nov 2024

 

To follow up:

• Ask vacuum group for leak test of OVC (Gunn)
• Preassemble and leak check the new parts by TE-VSC (Gunn)
• Follow up on EN-EL cable request status: RQF2876181 (Gunn)
• Old dead controller for the TMP is still in the buffer zone near AD ring entrance, check model and request a replacement (Gunn)
• Rack mount chassis for installing gauge/pump controller (Wilfried)
• Primary pump is oil based, should this be upgraded to a dry pump ? (Gunn follow up with TE-VSC)
• Order 10L He gas bottle for purging the OVC (Torsten)
• Replace oil filter on the primary pump (Torsten/Agostino)
• Contact TE-VSC for what is their standar of vacuum interlocks and ask ICS to implement necessary change for improved safety (Mark)

 

Compressor/cold head maintenance (TE-CRG):

• Coald head/compressor maintenance done every two runs
• The cold head will be opened and cleaned for any oxidation to improve cooling performance 
• Next maintenance not before LS3 end (6 months before run4 starts)
• Torten takes photos of the He gas pressure and hour counter on the compressor every year, provide wiki page to add these info (Mark)

** The vacuum upgrade and if the parts arrived,
** EN-EL cable request DIC
** Charcoal adsorber for LHe compressor
** Contact ICS for safety interlock/logic according to vacuum group standards
