Management

Still no news on the PL LoE.

ICD/SoW

Johannes has prepared a document proposing to change the routing of the RAA cable. Will be sent to CSU.

Modules

Test is ongoing at biotech. Next step will be to reprogram the FW and re-connect the grid to the lid.

In parallel Franck checks the thermal model with the measurements and checks various design optimizaiton, from the thermal point of view, but also with the goal of reducing the weight of the module. This also allows him to prepare the full POLAR-2 thermal model.

Once the FW is updated, we should be able to take dark count data and check if the Peltier/Heater circuits are generating noise on the DAQ.

A new batch of 1750 scintillators has arrived last week. A samble will be given to Coralie so that she can do some dimention measurements.

Coralie is busy with other acitivies, it will be necessary that other people give a hand with wrapping. But shw should have more time from beginning of December.

Sockets: Franck would like to launch a pre-production and the production of the moulds. CD would like to have 9 moulds to have a parallel production of sockets. Franck has asked a quote for the pre-production.

Mechanic

Franck is workin on the full model of the POLAR-2. He will introduce some simplifications as the model is decoming to complicated. In principle he will have 9 complete modules and the rest will be simplified.

He should get the first results for the next weekly meeting.

One key aspect to better understand is the BEE/PHU/Combox power consumption. Franck needs numbers as realistic as possible, without excessive margin of security. The problem right now is that it is difficult to correctly take into account the communication part. For the moment, the power values are taken from the ICD/SoW, to be checked if they are too conservative or not.

Another aspect to understand the the thermal connection with the CSS.

FEE

Tests in Ferrara went well. Data will be available on raidpolar3.

DAQ and FW were fine. DAQ with GPIO, now Nicolas will examine the Zynq DAQ, as some problems were still seen before leaving to Ferrara.

BEE/PHU

The layout closeout meeting will take place on Tuesday at 14:00.

Next meetings

Tuesday 26 nov. 14:00, BEE/PHU layout closeout.

Monday Dec. 2nd 10:30 next group meeting.
