NorCC + NTNU KI Milliard Application

Introduction (Eirik) 

• Anna: need to identify readers at institutes immediately, need also to get dates for comments from them  

• Eirik will follow up at UiO  

• Therese made an appointment with HVL people to look over it (9th) 

• Therese: will work on the impact but will need help from NTNU and UiA on the industrial side 

• Therese: good idea for someone to do the merging of the Excellence 

• James and Eirik will do it 

• Eirik/James will follow up on the computing side, with help from Matthias &c 

• James: what is the difference between implementation and organisation/structure? 

• Various answers given but not really clear 

• Therese: need to allocate someone for the implementation 

• Eirik: start a new tex file in the overleaf for the implementation —> Anna will do it 

• Eirik: everyone should look and add things that are missing 

• James: are these two things less important than the rest? 

• Anna: no, probably just as important, but might be possible for it to be a bit later 

• Anna: discussed the organisation part before writing it 

• Ali: slide 14 from the presentation to industry with the three layers (the diagram) could also be used in the Excellence.  

• Eirik: will try to fit it into the Excellence 

• Budget: may need letters of support from (e.g.) NorCC when funding of people would change if the centre were to be funded. Will differ from institute to institute. Need to understand what the internal deadlines are.  

• Heidi: no overlap is allowed 

• Ali: what does staff mean? WP leaders or what? Co-supervisors? 

• Therese: put in all names, not just those directly funded by the centre. If you’re co-supervising a student in the centre this is a contribution-in-kind 

• Eirik: if a name goes in the table does it go in the budget 

• Heidi: yes  

• Are CVs needed for everyone in the table? 

• 15 CVs maximum.
