      Magnetic field in front of the ECAL
      Speaker: Sergey Kholodenko (Universita & INFN Pisa (IT))
      // translated version of the magnetic field data to root and text format
      // ---------------- measurements we performed by Lukas Messner 18 June 2024 -------------
      // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      // ------------ Below is the description from Lukas about the data content -------------
      // (+) The folder calibratedFar is the measurement at x = 0mm position and the calibratedNear
      // is the x = -50mm position measurement (closer to the interaction point)
      // (+) The files are named after the position, for example “_position_-300_voffset_300_calibrated” means -300mm in y direction from the center and vertical offset in z direction is 300mm (stick is elevated)
      // (+) Inside the file you have again the position and offset; the single sensors in the file are ordered from highest to lowest at the pole and the hx, hy, hz values are in Tesla. You can neglect the other values that are probably not important for you.

      // --------- COMMENTS FROM THE SLIDES (AS THEY ARE) --------------------
      // 16 sensors with a spacing of 250 mm placed on a pole
      // closest sensor position at a distance of 100 mm (??!SK from the highest point??)
      // measurement interval of y = 20 mm until +-260 mm, afterwards 40 mm
      // lowered the pole with z = -300 to pass the beampipe
      // 2 measurements with x=0 and x=-50mm (closest to the interaction point)
      // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      // Important notes: different system used
      // LHCb frame: x == y
      // LHCb frame: y == z
      // LHCb frame: z == 12400 -100 + x ("x" is either 0 or negative (closer to the interaction point))

      TEXT FILE FORMAT:
      X Y Z Bx By Bz

      where X,Y and Z in mm
      Bx, By and Bz in T

      There are still some actions to be done (any volunteers?)
      - Interpolation between the points
      - Verify measurements with the Maxwell equations
