Description
The EVERSE EU-funded project aims to create a framework for research software and code excellence, collaboratively designed and championed by research communities that include physics and astronomy.
EVERSE’s ultimate ambition is to contribute towards a cultural change where research software is recognized as a first-class citizen of the scientific process and the people that contribute to it are credited for their efforts.
In this contribution, we will outline the aims of the network and present the achievements of the first year of the project, towards building a European network of Research Software Quality and setting the foundations of a future Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence, including the creation of the EVERSE Network. The goal of this contribution is also to interactively discuss how these best practices can map to the HSF’s sponsored project requirements.
