The KLN theorem establishes that infrared divergences in parton model diagrams cancel when summed alongside diagrams that account for the simultaneous hard interaction of multiple partons within the same hadron. However, the inclusion of these additional diagrams naturally raises several questions related to the definition of the corresponding asymptotic states, the factorization of logarithmically enhanced contributions, and the relationship to the traditional parton model. In this talk, I will offer preliminary answers based on general arguments as well as an ongoing calculation of the leading-twist NLO and NNLO contribution of the additional diagrams in Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering. Additionally, I will discuss some of the analytic tools essential for these calculations, focusing especially on those relating to the evaluation of discontinuities of Feynman diagrams.
