Welcome to the 4th edition of the Sustainable High Energy Physics (HEP) workshop, taking place from Tuesday, May 13th through Friday, May 16th.
This workshop aims to explore the intersection of High Energy Physics (HEP) and the climate crisis. It will highlight ongoing sustainable initiatives within HEP and facilitate discussions to achieve positive, tangible outcomes.
Sustainability means meeting the needs of the present without compromising future generations' ability to meet theirs. Environmental sustainability is critical for mitigating the severe consequences of climate change, supporting life on Earth, and enabling future generations to thrive.
Everyone is welcome to register, whether one has worked in sustainability for years, or just has a mild intrigue! Whilst this is a HEP workshop by name there will be quite a few relevant sessions/talks for the wider science community.
Program Highlights:
- Invited Talks: Featuring experts discussing the latest in HEP and sustainability.
- Submitted Talks: Contributions from participants, fostering a diverse range of insights.
- Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on practical sustainability solutions.
- Mattermost Discussion Forum: Ongoing discussions will take place on Mattermost, with the link provided to participants before the workshop begins.
- Recordings: All live talks will be recorded and made available to the registrants to allow for participation from all time zones
