Call for EoIs on detectors for the FCC - Satellite Meeting
Dear contacts for planned submissions of EoIs for work on detectors for the FCCee,
Thanks a lot again for registering your plans in the google doc, and for first steps to further group and organise efforts.
As already announced in the earlier mailings, we have arranged for a satellite session to the FCC Workshop at CERN to take place on Friday January 17, 9-13h. The room is still to be announced, zoom connection will be provided.
The idea of this meeting is to enhance interactions between the interested groups, to better understand their plans and evaluate possibilities for joining efforts. It is clear that community building is a process that will continue after the deadline of the ESU, but having made some steps already for the EoIs will strengthen their impact, in our view.
We would like to ask all contacts to present their EoI plans on few slides using the template on google, for which you should have received an access link yesterday (Dec 17). Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any issues with the access to the google slide deck. We will have no chance to switch slides between presenters at the meeting.
The default duration of the presentations is 2.5 minutes, except for a few which already join a larger number of institutes and who will have 4.5 minutes (these will receive an extra mail). The default length is 2 slides, one for the title, partners and links, and one for planned work and illustration.
For (each) merged EoIs an extra slide and minute can be added, but the total time should remain within 4.5 min.
For concept groups we foresee 6 minutes.
We kindly ask to confirm the presentation by creating place holder slides in the google slide deck, with
- title
- presenter name
- remote or in person
Please do that as soon as possible, such that we can structure the meeting.

- S. Bressler (Weizmann): Detector development and production, MPGDs or MWPC
- M. Holmann (FIT): MPGDs with fast timing and high spatial resolution for outer layer of main tracker and for muon system that can be operated with eco-friendly gases
