Visit Point Training: Neutrino Platform
Building 887
CERN
Before joining this training, you should have joined the Guides Introduction Course
The training takes place in a supervised area, which means no access for pregnant individuals (and children below 16). Eating and drinking is prohibited. Additionally, you need to wear closed shoes without heels and no big bagpacks or other luggage. You can find all the information about safety & accessibility here: https://guides.web.cern.ch/node/770. If you have safety shoes and helmet, please bring them with you.
To get access to the visit point, you will need to have a personal dosimeter (https://dosimetry.web.cern.ch/) and you need to follow the these two trainings in LMS ((this is not required to join the training):
- Neutrino Platform Hall - Cryogenics / Hall de la Plateforme Neutrino - Cryogénie
- Neutrino Platform Hall - Access and Safety / Hall de la Plateforme Neutrino - Accès et Sécurité
The Neutrino Platform is at the end of EHN1, meaning building 887, Lausanne side (a bit further after the BBQ area). On CERN Map you can look for 887/1-205. If having trouble finding the location, see the map and instructions available at the link above, under 'Access and safety'.
We will meet where you see the red cross:
You will need to be on time to join the training.
Should you not be able to join, please cancel your participation in Indico.
If the training is already fully booked, please check the Indico side the three days before (and even on the same day), because guides who are registered receive a reminder three days before and might then withdraw if spontaneously not available. Please don't just show up without confirmation.
