Ready to tune up your skis for the winter season? Join us at the CERN Ski Club Maintenace Workshop, where you can either work independently with our tools or learn essential maintenance skills from our experienced volunteers! Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or looking to learn the basics of ski maintenance, we've got a spot for you. Read on to find out how to give your skis the care they deserve.

What to Expect

Learn essential ski maintenance skills or use our workspace for DIY maintenance! Each 1-hour block offers:

  • 2 spots for autonomous users who just need access to tools
  • 1 spot for learning edge sharpening + waxing
  • 1 spot for learning waxing only

If you're coming to learn, you must watch our tutorial videos beforehand to make the most of your block time.

If you are coming to just use the tools, this is what is available to you:

  • Full edge maintenance setup (side angle jigs (87, 88, 89°), base bevel adjustable jig, files and finishing tools, sidewall removal tools etc.)
  • Professional waxing equipment (digital temperature controlled iron, power rotary brass and finishing brushes)
  • Base repair P-tex sticks and scrapers
  • Ski vise and workspace
  • Basic maintenance supplies (wax, wax remover, brushes)

What to Bring

  • Your skis/snowboard (clean and dry)
  • Work clothes that can get dirty (wax stains!)
  • Your own wax (optional - we'll have some available)

Prepare Before Coming

Essential: If you've registered for a learning spot, please watch our tutorial videos before attending. This will ensure you have enough time to complete your maintenance during your block:
