News:

 

• "EIROforum leadership program", the next assembly where the WGs report will be in December, we have more time to prepare a proposal for this meeting (was initially thought to be due in May)
• Questionaire by EMBL on appraisal systems ( https://app.smartsheet.eu/b/form/019735574bdb7cca9984a6fb4ea3ff4c ). Deadline by 30 June. Please fill in or forward to experts in your organisation

• contact Eva for membership on knowledge management workshop

 

ERIC-CERIC workshop on careers in European RIs

• ERIC is pushing for a European contract for research personnal 
• In the past they had a workshop and questionnaire on the topic 
• They are especially in EIROfusion who is working with "in kind" hiring
• Invitation to share experience with ERIC in a workshop

• ERIC goal is to have a grading system to be included into the draft for the European guidelines

 

• Idea to have online workshop in mid September  or October for 1 - 3 hours.
• Ornela and Laura will prepare a set of questions to steer the workshop 
• We then distribute the info in the WG and to potential other speakers

• WG meetings scheduled for July and August, but with summer the attendance may be low, Stefan will ask how many WG members are available during those 2 meeting times and schedule one or both meetings
• The next meeting shall concentrate on the "careers white paper" preparation and the "EIROforum leadership program" proposal

2 Presentation of WG at pre-EMBL presidency meeting

EMBL will be taking over the presidency of EIROforum on the 1st July. Ahead of this there is a working meeting being held at Heidelberg which Rachel will represent this WG at. There is a presentation linked and we invite WG members to review and comment upon.
