News
- the next meeting of the directors will be held on February 12th in Heidelberg. Stefan will present the working group's status
- A new training catalog for high-energy physics has been established at training.cern.ch, which aims to centralize training materials and information from various communities focusing on trainings organised within the communities
- EIROfusion training platform at http://elearning.euro-fusion.org
- A series of presentations about training programs and training offerings across the EIROforum organizations was proposed.
- The TeSS technology used for the training.cern.ch platform is currently being further developed into a multi-tenancy platform and the possibility to connect various instances' training cataloge
- Benjamin emphasized the importance of peer training and suggested inviting platform developers to the next meeting which was agreed for the November meeting.
- Elizabeth offered to share information about CERN's train-the-trainer programs, which Eva expressed particular interest in
- Eva proposed a knowledge management workshop on maintenance equipment, scheduled for November 12th, with a focus on hardware maintenance challenges in research facilities. The workshop will feature four speakers and potentially two half-day sessions, with an interest in discussing maintenance of inaccessible components and remote handling systems. The workshop aims to address maintenance of 30-year-old equipment and explore topics like predictive maintenance and maintenance policies for hard-to-reach components
- Rachel suggested sharing the information with the EIROforum instrumentation Working Group.
Competency frameworks workshop

- Upcoming workshop on December 2nd, which will focus on competence frameworks at international research infrastructures and include presentations from various organizations
- Suggestion to increase the question time after presentations to encourage more discussion.
Leadership Development Programs

- Eva suggesting a focus on exposure to senior management and access to discussions at the EIRO Forum level.
- The group agreed to further develop the program concept and potentially present a concrete proposal to directors in February.
Next steps
- Stefan to prepare slides for the EIRO Forum directors meeting on February 12th in Heidelberg and share them with the group.
- Stefan to invite a developer from the TESS training platform to present at the November meeting.
- Eva to circulate information about the hardware maintenance workshop planned for November 12th.
- Stefan to reach out to CERN Beams people for potential speakers for Eva's hardware maintenance workshop.
- Eva to contact the instrumentation Working Group about the hardware maintenance workshop.
- Laura to share the final program and registration link for the Workshop on Competence Frameworks and Career Development .
- Laura to send the workshop slides to Stefan to upload to the agenda page.
- All members to review and provide comments on the leadership program document before the November meeting.
