RFQ Test stand - test co-ordination

Source Preparation

Edgar noted that the water and electricity should be back at the end of this week (22/01).

We now have the test source installed that will be restarted. The spare source will only be ready in February, it will be installed and tested only if the schedule allows.

 

RFQ conditioning

The conditioning surveillance system is ready.

The water-tuning system is being finished on the controls automation side. (middle of next week). Luca and Suitbert confirmed the skid can be switched on quickly.

Suitbert needs to follow up the connection to the RF – do be done by Vladimir.

The klystron power supply is ready, and just needs to be unlocked.

Overall, it should be possible to conditioning starting 3 Feb, and it is expect this will take about 2 weeks.

The lifting girder is expected to arrive in 5-6 weeks.

We set that the first possible date to move the RFQ onto the beam-line is 10 March.

 

Suitbert asked about the electrical inspection documents. Richard has to check these, and confirm they are sufficient.

Jean-Baptiste enquired if the pulse length can be increased for longer conditioning offline (after the beam-tests). Richard will organize a discussion with EPC.
