  • Follow-up from the optics meeting

    • Longitudinal offset that gave high injection efficiency still not understood.
    • Xsuite–SAD comparison:
      • Takashi adjusted max threshold (3 m → 1 m).
      • Applying the same emittance method.
      • Results remain to be checked.
    • Giulia continuing simulations incl. collimation; may report next meeting.
  • Optics comparison

    • Optics files to be shared soon.
    • Impact of using a new optics in PB to be discussed.
    • Next steps: tracking without beam–beam (ABT needs ~1 month once lattices are provided; ~3 months if hardware changes).
    • Beam–beam tracking will not be used for injection-efficiency comparison.
  • Top-up injection tracking (Sen)

    • Large βx change with ΔE/E = 0.95% (GHC).
    • Adding the non-linear location (with linear Twiss) lowers injection efficiency — unexpected.
    •  -> tracking could be repeated with different seeds to check convergence
    • Vertical emittance blow-up not solved with Twiss parameter scan; remains to be understood. 
    • -> the vertical emittance calculation needs to be checked
    • Preliminary LCC study: with present β and D requires injection offset of 1.12%
