Evanescent operators in EFTs

The necessity of evanescent operators in higher-order loop calculations will be outlined. I will discuss basis transformations in Effective Field theories at the tree- and one-loop level, including evanescent shifts. In this context the framework of one-loop Fierz transformations will be introduced. Furthermore, general scheme changes, as well as evanescent-free schemes will be showcased using several examples.
