TOSA
- First lot tested and qualidfied
- CTTx assembly waiting for last bids but all in time
MUX
- From the temperature tests forst results all the components seems to comply with the requirements. One model did show bigger channel bandwidth variation variations.
- it is still to be evaluated how much the variation would play on the total margin and to have a system level analysis/table of the contributions to the optical power budget <= Action on Antonio
- It would be possible to separate the contract for the BPM and BLM: actually this might be better as would allow to optimise the spec for each procurement as the 2 objects are not the same
QSFP/SFP+
- market search still ongoing
- it was asked what is the deadline for a decision to be taken
- BI expects to have the contract done for (Q)SFP(+) and MUXes while antonio is still on the project
- it is agreed to take a decision in June to have the time to prepare the contract, and in case we need to reprtofile the budget leaves enough time
ROSA
- The meeting where updates were expected from the company had to be cancelled: the company's manager was ill.
- There is not a perceived risk yet, but in absence of news about the contract ESE initiated the procedure for a plan B
- first contacts with another european company (opticap/ALTEC)
- the actual steps to prepare a possible procurement with them is nevertheless delayed to after the next meeting with the preferred company
- Jan will meet the representative of the rpeferred company face to face end of MArch beginning of April
