The expert :

Heidi Kempeneer is a former brand strategist and business leader with over a decade of experience in one of the world’s largest multinationals, leading teams in high-pressure, high-performance environments. Navigating the demands of a competitive global career, she experienced firsthand the challenges of sustaining energy, balancing responsibilities, and avoiding burnout in an environment where performance was everything.

After facing burnout and undergoing a long, complex recovery, Heidi turned to science-backed, body-based approaches to stress regulation and resilience—not just to heal, but to deeply understand how to build sustainable well-being in demanding environments. 

Today, as a certified therapist specialising in nervous system regulation and self-care, she helps individuals and organisations bridge the gap between high achievement and long-term well-being. In her talk, "Self-Care: Why Should You Care?", Heidi challenges the misconception that self-care is indulgent, showing how it is actually an essential, practical strategy for sustaining energy, navigating stress, and creating a fulfilling, purpose-driven life.
