Description
Join us as we celebrate the achievements and the long career of Ugo Amaldi, from his early years at the Italian Istituto Superiore di Sanità (National Health Institute), to his contributions to particle physics while at CERN, the creation of the TERA Foundation in the early ‘90s to introduce hadron therapy in Italy, the design of novel particle accelerators for hadron therapy, and his role in setting up an international network for cancer treatment with proton and ion beams.
