8th Technical Board meeting

Some topics raised during the collaboration meeting were discussed in the meeting. More details in the introductory slides

• AidaInnova Successors (slides 5 and 6): we started with this topic to exploit Katja's presence (Proposal Preparation Team)
  • see the information in the slides
  • it was commented that for some countries having only 2 beneficiaries could be difficult. 
  • also, the request to have some industrial partner involvement could be difficult. If it comes out naturally ok, but one can also proceed without
  • looking at the numbers for the funding, it could be expected that WP7 (calorimetry) would get ~ 1M€; if one considers 3 tasks, it would be ~ 330k€ each, that means 3 postdocs for a couple of years.
  • We discussed the possible tasks.  Roman proposed some ideas reported in the Google Docs attached to the agenda. All of us can comment/add...

  • In the previous proposal, the calorimeter was described in ~ 2 pages, ~10 lines for each task (to have an idea of the amount of information to be provided)
  • There was a proposal to have another meeting around April 24th (the 24th is the WP2 meeting early afternoon, and the 25th is a holiday in Italy), with a doodle to be sent out. Following the suggestion by Roman, I would suggest this be called by Katja and the facilitators
  • To understand how to involve the DRD6 community. It was decided not to call for EOI, but on the other hand, one would like to be more included as possible. 
  • the discussion took most of the meeting time

  • GG to send a mail to drdcalo-general with all the available positions to cover
• WG 3: GG mail to the WP coordinators a new survey, which includes other TB facilities +  information on the second part of the year for Desy (request to flag as DRD6 all the requests for our activities
• Space request at cern for prototype
  • Roman to send a mail to Thomas for information and then to EP
• Deliverables status
  • WP coordinators to touch base at the next Technical Board meeting on the status of milestones and deliverables in 2024 (for those non-completed) and 2025 (fundings, status ... )
