9th Technical Board meeting

• News from recent AidaInnova Final Meeting (Roman, Katja)
  • Concerning the AidaInnova Successors, the previous deadline of mid-May for the initial proposal seems to be unfeasible, and it has been moved to the end of May
  • We should pick up less-founded topics to give them a chance for success
  • The WP on mechanics and cooling now explicitly include topics other than trackers: take profit for the calorimeters
  • Liquified noble gas detectors don't have a separate WP. This could be seen as an opportunity to exploit synergies with the neutrino community
• WG3 - Testbeam
  • Still missing a candidate for the coordination. Try to ask Martin (GG to write to him). If we cannot find someone from the CERN group,  we should investigate with other groups who has a CERN-based person. We can bring up the discussion at the forthcoming intermediate CB meeting (in June).
  • DESY TB call for the second part of the year is closed. Katja to collect the information about DRD6 groups
  • Contact for Fermilab TB could be Grace Cummings. (GG to write to her)
  • Document for asking for a TB area at CERN 
    • Several comments were sent and integrated into the document.
    • GG to send the document (as a draft)  to the SPS coordinator
    • Discuss the issue of the cryoline for WP2 TB in the document
• Review of milestones and deliverables
  • WP1
    • They had their first steering group meeting, to which almost half of the task representatives were present. 
    • Even though there is not yet an updated table, the general impression is that there is enough money to reach the deliverables/milestones,  but with a delay of about 1 year
    • Testbeam: SiW just had in DESY; SiW compact calo will have a TB in June at DESY, with 10 X_0 in the central part. Prototype with 1mm active material is progressing well; Testbeam in KEK for ScW-ECAL end of May.
  • WP2
    • Cost review of the prototype is ongoing and progressing well

  • WP3
    • Milestones and deliverables look, in general, ok, but need to be checked in detail. to be done
• WG1
  • First meeting on May 28th
  • Preparing a project as a possible candidate for AidaInnova successor
