- Present: Claudia, Gerald, Helmut, Stefan
- Latest HI-ECN3 service building layout (v10) was presented together with the expected radionuclide inventories of the BDF target types and target holder.
- The resuspended activity during the BDF target holder cutting was estimated to amount to ~2E6 LA. Additional contamination from the target itself may additionally contribute. A class A work sector classification in the service cell is required.
- The potential spread of contamination (surface, air) to the areas surrounding the service cell must be contained as much as possible, remaining compatible with a class C work sector classification.
- All class A/C areas will in addition be classified as a Controlled Radiation Area with contamination risk (level depending on the radiological risks).
- Equipment with potential contamination must be placed in containers or wrapped before going into the buffer area. Local shielding of high dose rate elements shall be foreseen to sufficiently reduce dose rates (e.g. Non-designated Area outside of the building).
- The EN-CV room, which shall only be accessible outside of beam operation, the services corridor and the corridor to the changing rooms shall be classified as a Controlled Radiation with contamination risk (level depending on the radiological risks).
- A summary slide with an overview of the agreed area classification has been added to the presentation (slide 14).
