Amplitudes Afterparty in Taiwan

Asia/Taipei
Chia-Hsien Shen (National Taiwan University), Daniel Baumann, Yu-tin Huang (National Taiwan University)
Description

This workshop will be hosted by the Leung Center for Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics (LeCosPA), the Center for Theorical Physics (CTP), and National Center of Theoretical Physics (NCTS) at National Taiwan University (NTU). The goal of the workshop is to push the progress in scattering amplitudes by joining the experts in bootstrap, machine learning, and amplitudes.

The workshop aims for a relaxed atmosphere with a relatively light schedule. The registration will be moderated to keep the event at a relatively small scale. The goal is to brainstorm new ideas and foster new collaboration.

It turns out we're all Action Heroes: Realizing Double Copy at the Operator Level

Scattering amplitudes have long revealed dualities, like color-kinematics and the double copy, that are obscured in conventional Lagrangians. This talk unveils a constructive path to elevate amplitudes to the defining data of actions. We'll see how to promote color-dual numerators directly to operators, systematically derive the full Einstein-Hilbert action from Yang-Mills components, and explore how this extends to a state-level picture of quantum gravity and all-\alpha' string operators.
