ATTRACT2 Final Review of the R&D&I Funded projects
CERN is hosting the ATTRACT2 Final Review of the R&D&I Funded projects from May 20th to 21th 2025.
The meeting is an opportunity for participants to comprehensively assess project achievements, share and deliberate upon outcomes, and strategically outline future steps.
ATTRACT2 is a project by CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) that stands for Advanced Technologies for Training, Research, and Applications in Control Systems. It’s part of the broader ATTRACT initiative which aims to foster the development of cutting-edge technologies that can have both scientific and societal impact.
The project mainly focuses on improving technologies related to detectors, sensors, and data acquisition systems. ATTRACT2, specifically, is designed to push forward innovations in areas such as:
- Quantum technologies
- Machine learning applications
- Advanced sensor development
- AI and data analysis
One of the goals of ATTRACT2 is to bridge the gap between advanced research technologies developed in physics and their potential applications in other industries, such as healthcare, environmental monitoring, and industry 4.0.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101004462
