2 Update to Data Integrity in WLCG Transfers¶

• Analysis of the current data integrity mechanism used in WLCG transfers
• Proposal to new standards
• Proposal to add data integrity in TPC Pull mode.

Timeline of the proposal:
- Hugo to prepare a 1-2 page summary and/or specification document
- To be presented at the DOMA-BDT session @ WLCG Workshop 2025
- Obtain agreement from the involved storage implementors
- Create tickets for storage systems
- Revive HTTP-TPC testing suite & adapt  for checksum verification

Stephan: Suggest to have a way in the error messages to detect whether the transfer is retryable or not

 - Need Xrootd developers to answer this

Petr: What are dCache and StoRM thoughts on implementing this?
  - Tigran: Agree with the proposal, but cannot give timelines
