The CERN Guides Rules have been updated, introducing some changes. The new version has been approved by the Director-General and will be officially applied as of 01.07.2025 to all CERN Guides in the context of their guiding activities.
They outline:
-
Who is eligible to become a CERN Guide
-
The requirements for becoming a CERN Guide
-
The duration of the CERN Guide status and how to maintain it after your CERN affiliation ends
-
Calculation of honorarium for eligible activities
-
How to sign up for guiding activities
-
Insurance coverage during guiding activities
-
How CERN Guides’ data is managed
-
The CERN Guides Charter
The new rules will be presented and in particular the changes compared to the 2018 CERN Guides Rules. Any questions regarding the new rules will be addressed.
The session will be recorded for later viewing. However, if you wish to ask questions, we encourage you to attend in person.
Shortly after the information session, an email will be sent to all active CERN Guides who will have to accept the new rules until 30 September 2025 in order to maintain their CERN Guide status.
