    Structure:

    • M. Canale showed the new concept for encapsulated bladders.
      • Add mechanical stopper for the bladders in the structure, to guarantee the proper alignment.
      • Question to P. Moyret on yoke sub-assembly (bushings): Two holes or one hole and one slot? Check RMM and follow same logic.
      • Keys to be designed as RMM (shimmed in sandwhich configuration).

     

    Winding tests:

    • First tests with FRESCA2 cable.
      • Perform a second test with BOND cable

     

    Impregnation:

    • Vertical pad design & impregnation concept:
      • Juan Carlos to organize a separate and dedicated meeting on this topic.

    • For TFD, they use a modular impregnation mold. But then, they do not adjust the v-pad because they use a smart shim

    • Without the smart shim, the ugly part is the need of adjusting the v-pad all the time

     

    Modelling:

    • Vendela is modifying the existing model with the new geometry:
      • Compute the new baseline results.
        • Check if results are OK (including bladder force and opening in the new configuration)
      • Compute if we're able to pre-load yoke-shell subassembly.
      • Compute if we can start the preload with only one large bladder.
      • Compute a case with two bladders on top of Vpad. Is it possible?
