Experimental Particle and Astro-Particle Physics Seminar

Europe/Zurich
Stefanos Leontsinis (University of Zurich (CH))
Description

Abstract: This talk outlines the ongoing efforts at PSI to design, fabricate, and characterize next-generation detectors base on Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (DMAPS) with enhanced timing precision, power consumption and integration capabilities. Leveraging high-voltage CMOS processes, the DMAPS combine high spatial resolution with fast charge collection in a fully monolithic architecture. The presentation will highlight recent prototypes, test results, and the optimization strategies used to improve performance. Finally, potential applications in the field of particle physics experiments and outside will be discussed, illustrating how this technology can shape future detection systems across scientific and industrial domains.
