Description

To submit questions to be asked by ECRs present at the Venice Open Symposium on the ESPP, please use the Slido link below.

The European Strategy for Particle Physics (ESPP) is being updated right now. The ESPP addresses questions like the next flagship project for CERN, areas of priority for exploration complementary to colliders, and more (see remit). A total of 281 inputs have been submitted, summarising the views of the community on the ESPP.

European ECRs* have submitted a White Paper input** on their views on the ESPP, focusing on aspects beyond physics, which are crucial for their future.

The particle physics community comes together 23.07-27.07.2025 in Venice for the Open Symposium on the ESPP. Remote participation is limited to webcasts, not allowing for questions from remote. Following the key recommendation of the ECR White Paper on the transparency and openness of the ESPP process, the White Paper team is setting up an unofficial way for ECRs to ask their questions remotely.

How to submit your questions

  • For each talk/session, submit your questions or upvote other questions using Slido (links will be added below).
  • Questions can be asked anonymously or accompanied by your name (preferred).
  • The White Paper team is monitoring the questions posed on Slido and will ask them in person in Venice. The selection of the questions is up to the individuals assigned to the session.
