Due to the PUMA-ISOLDE project, we must relocate our vacuum controllers (presently located in rack VY.RCX.1, near IDS) in a new mini rack beneath the RC6 beam line., we have to stop the pumping in RCX10 for about three hours

Mention technical stop and work by EN-CV on the supply plenum
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Isabel Frank (CERN), Matthias Alexander Grasser, Simon Thomas Stegemann (CERN)Physics
On HRS, the first HIE-ISOLDE run of this year took place. Thanks to the efforts of all technical teams involved, physics at HIE-ISOLDE started already on Thursday, one day earlier than the official start. For the run, ¹⁴⁴Cs beams were sent to Miniball at 4.7 MeV/u to study octupole correlations by measuring lifetimes of excited states. It was the first time that the so-called plunger technique was successfully employed at Miniball. Since on Monday morning, when the run was originally supposed to stop, they had not yet managed to measure new physics, it was agreed that they could continue until Tuesday morning. This allowed them to complete the physics programme, for which they were very grateful.

Concerning the sensors we recently added to the HRS magnets, we need to run an Ethernet cable from the acquisition system to an available socket in room R-020.
If there are no objections, we intend first to pull by ourselves a temporary cable along the walls and ceiling. A proper cabling demand will follow as soon as possible.
