Description
Understanding the scale-dependence of galaxy bias is crucial to extract meaningful constraints on, e.g., primordial non-Gaussianity. In this week's Cosmo Coffee, we will discuss how the peak-background split argument can be extended to derive scale-dependent bias corrections for Gaussian and generic non-Gaussian initial conditions. We will identify an important, but previously overlooked correction to the non-Gaussian bias, which yields theoretical predictions in much better agreement with the numerical data.
