Experiment round-table: issues, requests, feedback, status

2 ATLAS

Speakers: Dr Andreu Pacheco Pages (Institut de Física d'Altes Energies - Barcelona (ES)), Rodney Walker (Ludwig Maximilians Universitat (DE))

Topic of the week is that US Sites want to go to IPv6 only. This has some implications on Panda, Rucio, storage servers, Computing elements, worker nodes, ... 

Next week is ATLAS Software Week dedicated to planning for Run4.
Many plans related to Panda will be discussed.
Also there will be an expert meeting dedicated to topics related to Panda. For example: changes related to multicore support, overlay batch system (multiple payloads in a job slot) and GPU resources.

3 SKA

4 Vera Rubin Observatory

Update from Brian:

PanDA is working well for Rubin, while we track down other ‘scaling issues’ with the overall production system. 

PanDA is key to being able to do multisite processing for Rubin

5 PanDA for NP - AID2E and EIC
