      • Chemicals in pool
      Common pool
      • As announced, I've cleaned out the cabinet used for chemicals at ISOLDE and I've kept following items for the common pool
        • Isopropanol: 2x 7.5l, 1x5l safety canister, 1 spray bottle
        • Aceton: 2x 7.5l
        • Methanol 1x 5l safety canister (not sure about exact quantity)
        • Ethanol: 2x7.5l of ethanol *more on this below
          • On top of the pool quantity above, I've kept the ISS dilution and a SPEDE canister.
      • A pallet has been set aside with everything I intend to dispose of. If any of the items belong to you and I was a bit too enthusiastic in deciding to remove them, please let me know as soon as possible.

      Ethanol
As far as I understand, several collaboration use ethanol in their chillers and this was actually the chemical of which there were most containers.  Nevertheless, I would also like to go to a pool system here, but it depends on your needs:
      General notes about chemicals

      • Size of packaging: please be mindful of how much chemicals you buy. Often, they are quite cheap and readily available, so do not stock up on unreasonably large quantities. Additional practical point: these large containers are much more difficult to store!
      • CERES: could you please check that all your chemicals are added to the CERES inventory, I've updated the pool ones. From my limited experience with CERES, it's convenient to use and I like the feature where you can indicate the specific location where the chemical is (instead of just 170/R-001 which is huge):
