WLCG and EGI accounting meeting

Europe/Zurich

Attended:

Tom, Alessandro, Michael, Carlos, Dirk

APEL:

The issue with ARC has been fixed and  tested locally at RAL with success.

See the details in https://helpdesk.ggus.eu/#ticket/zoom/1000048/17878
An ARC release should be expected soon.
EGI ops tracked this problem in our Known Error Database:
https://jira.egi.eu/browse/EGIKEDB-21 (status: Workaround).
Validation of June accounting will be postponed until data in APEL is fixed.

Michael asked whether APEL intends to support old format for reporting (not implying dictionary). Julia thinks there is an agreement with APEL this it should work with both formats transparently.
Michael also asked how to proceed if the site has part of resources benchmarked with hepscore and another one with hepspec. Julia explained that as it is described in specification (https://docs.google.com/document/d/19EerfwmzhUM4gLijOK9XxAM46vg1E2oSJvWVoEltvRA/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.vlqqhvvfi4e4) linked from the accounting task force twiki page, then the overall accounting record should consist of two parts for two different clusters which are identified with "SubmitHost" attribute. If the format with a dictionary is used, only one benchmark will be considered by APEL. As soon as hepscore is present in the dictionary, this value will be considered by default.

Julia asked Tom, to check with Adrian when he is back the progress of getting rid of per-job job records, whether sites which did report info per job started to switch to summaries. Michael confirmed that AUDITOR has already enabled summary reporting though per job records are available in the AUDITOR DB for debugging.

EGI Portal:
Joseph could not attend but has reported that he is working on retrieving GocDB data relevant for authentication to the EGI portal. More progress is expected next week.

Next meeting is in one week , next Friday, same time slot
