The Higgs boson is the last observed piece to the Standard Model, and due to its couplings to other
fundamental particles, provides a promising portal through which we can potentially probe new physics.
I will focus on the analysis recently included in a Phys. Rev. D paper,
which leverages the full Run2 dataset from CMS to make our current best measurements of the Higgs
boson width. Novel extensions to Higgs boson
production in the off-shell region, and its combination with other channels, to better define coupling strengths between the Higgs
boson and other particles will also be presented.
