Description
LHC experiments are achieving results far beyond their original design goals. A key element to that success, and to future improvements, is the ability to extract ever more information from collider events. To do so reliably requires QCD predictions that are accurate across a wide range of momentum scales and physically realistic. The colloquium will discuss some of the challenges and recent progress in this direction.
