      MEDICIS & Building 179 10m

      MEDICIS /CD notes +EM addition
      - Tb-155 production from the new TaC-MWCNT target of Patricija happened last week and over the week-end leading to 11 MBq of Tb-155. The re-irradiation and re-use of this target will give information on the target sintering effect. The target will go for indirect irradiation tomorrow.
      - Between today and tomorrow there is the direct irradiation of #925M (TiC-MWCNT) for Sc-47 mass-separation development.
      - An additional Ra-225 collection is ongoing + laser enhancement.
      - Yesterday a representative from the RayzeBio company ("filiale" of the pharma company Bristol Myers Skibb, leader in targeted alpha therapy), visited the MEDICIS facility.

Speakers: Charlotte Duchemin (CERN SY/STI/RBS), Edgars Mamis, Joachim Vollaire (CERN), Laura Lambert (CERN), Manikanta Elle (KU Leuven (BE)), Matthieu Deschamps, Patricija Kalnina (University of Latvia (LV)), Ralf Erik Rossel (CERN)

      b.179

      • Gas point
        • two metallic boxes will be delivered today which will be used as temporary gas storage in front of b.179
      • Safety barriers
        • Any new ideas how to get rid of these / where to send them? recuperation won't accept them since they belong to safety/security
      • Cleaning planned for tomorrow at 9h30 of the entire lab
        • Please make sure your work spaces are clean and tidy to allow for efficient cleaning

      Targets, Schedule and Physics 10m
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Isabel Frank (CERN), Matthias Alexander Grasser, Simon Thomas Stegemann (CERN)

      Physics:

On GPS, 149Tb was collected during the nights from Mon-Fri and then send to PSI in the morning for pre-clinical trials of this isotope for targeted alpha therapy. During the days and in the weekend, VITO took over with 8Li beams to investigate diffusion of Li ion in solid state batteries interesting for electric cars etc. In parallel, also stable Ne and Xe beams from the EBIS were sent to Miniball for test of new detectors. Without major problems, all users were satisfied.

      Targets:
