Description
In the second lecture, non-conventional or emerging radionuclides, and advanced production concepts will be introduced. A special focus with target design and operation compatible with high power accelerators will be reviewed. In addition, special cases highlighting the potential to reach new radionuclides production capacity and new purity grades will be shown. A special focus on isotope mass separation as a recent source for innovation will be highlighted. Finally, the challenges associated with the use of these radionuclides in clinical settings will be outlined.
