    Description

    The Greek Teacher Programme 2026 will take place from 26-29 August 2026. Lectures, on-site visits, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops will introduce its participants to cutting-edge particle physics. We hope our participants will go back to Greece as ambassadors, who pass on the subject to our next generation of physicists, engineers, IT specialists...

          Self-organized transport to ALICE 30m

          The bus 68 leaves CERN tram station at 15:00 Geneva time. You are taking the bus to the bus station ALICE. The location of the visit is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4groQqrUEPprpYHK6?g_st=ic

          Everyone must buy a ticket for the bus (4.8 CHF). ALICE is on the French side, so you must buy a ticket for Zones 10 + 250 (or enter ALICE as the destination). Please note that buying tickets will take time, so make sure to be at the CERN bus station 10 minutes before the bus arrives.
          Hint: there are two machines for buying a ticket.

          Don’t forget to take your passport or ID and the visitor badge!

          The group will split in two. Each group will have 1h for the underground visit and the rest for the exhibition.

        • 17:30
          Self-organized transport to CERN 30m

          Take the bus 68 back to CERN. The ticket will cost 4.8CHF.

          Take public transport from CERN to the Cave Valaisanne 45m

          Please buy the "Tout Genève 1h" ticket (3CHF) to take tram 18 from CERN to "Gare Cornavin". Change there for tram 15 (direction: ZIPLO) and go to "Cirque", which is opposite the Cave Valaisanne.
