Readiness of equipment, EPC summarized that:
- The metallic structure for the power converters will be ready to be installed as planned by the 6th of October . It includes the false froors near RQX and 600 A PC, PC supporting beams and the copper plates under PCs and measuring racks.
- The CDBs are already availbel at the Flex-Buiding except the ones to be dismantled in the IT String.
- The first two prototypes of the metallic structure supporting the CDBs and the WCBB will arrive at CERN in the second half of September.
Discussed points
- First installation planned to start are the PCs supports that should be in point 5 from week 40 onward.
- It is considered that installing only the metallic supports without power converters will limit the space availability for temporary storage of other equipment that will be installed before the power converters.
- It is therefore considered to postpone the installation of the supporting beams at a later period just before the installation of the power converter racks.
- This point is also supported by the fact that a copper plate shall be installed below the beams covering the entire surface of the RQX, D1 and D2 power converters and the calibration racks
- SY-EPC wishes to start with the installation of the two CDB support frames and the CDB which shall be done in collaboration with EN-EL for the insertion of water-cooled cables (WCC) and CV for the installation of the water supplies to CDB and WCC
- Ideally the first mounting could take place at point L1 side because now all WCCs are already in place for both DFHX and DFHM.
Actions
- Organise a technical meeting with EPC, CV and EL to determine exact sequence of installation - Davide
- Check with schedule if and when possible, to start installation of CDBs in point L1 - Davide
- Check with WP6a clearances for DFHX transport tests - Davide
- Check slides from Miguel for occupancy in the UR – Darshana
- Verify discrepancies noticed between schedule of WP6 delivery dates (mails exchange on 12th of September?) - Michele, Paolo
