Status

• New beamline
  • Vacuum ongoing
  • Screens ongoing - Stephane coming today
  • Installation of water cooling ongoing
• Beam to end of straight line
  • single bunch, 1.3 nC , 60% transport
    • (max 1.5 nC at gun)
  • with a few bunches, about 70%, but even higher going down to 50%...
• QE studies
• Laser position scans
  • found optimal point, also optimal for solenoid
• Spectrometer on straight line also ok
• Good alignment with laser.
  • all ok.
• Klystrons all OK.
• Laser all OK.
  • screen calibration not done
  • fixed modulation 
  • power in front of cathode: 1uJ/bunch in front of the gun
  • power meters: 
    • one (downstairs) saturates around 33 uJ 
    • the other one (upstairs) has a systematic offset of 1 uJ
  • shall we re-install filter?
• BCM operational
  • 395 noisy... Giacomo to check with Wilfrid
• BPM no signal (not much investigation)

This week+

• need to arrive ~80% transport
• Install robot on the table
• install cameras
• Check flat beam profile
• HUG -> October 6th-10th, October 20th-26th, November 3rd-7th
  • no confirmation yet
  • by Wednesday, everything could be ready - checkup needed.
  • Need to evaluate dark current
• Prepare for CHUV -> October 13th-19th (can also be postponed)
  • need to prepare several holders, several hardware configurations, ... 
    • exact requirements will be sent likely by tomorrow
  • need a nice flat beam, or very Gaussian one
  • no need for very high charge bunch
  • will probably require 2 weeks of beam
  • Dosimetry done by CHUV
• Alfred's software -> recovered by Antonio
• Antonio: needed for 3D printing of new holders... 
  
  • Note: some drawings maybe still missing
• Need to prepare layout of machine
  • and print it for control room
