The "Magnet Tehnology Mapping Workshop" is hosted by CERN, Fusion for Energy, and EUROfusion. This workshop is an opportunity to explore the status of superconducting magnets technologies for fusion and high energy physics applications, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, identify R&D opportunities, and foster collaboration and partnerships.
The workshop has been structured in two sessions, an on-line session that took place on September 17, 2025 (see swapcard proceedings) and this in-person session, hosted by CERN on November 26 and 27, 2025.
The main objectives of the in-person session are to:
- Consolidate our understanding of the state of the art and assign TRL to critical technologies identified during the on-line session;
- Discuss and rank challenges;
- Find common grounds of collaboration.
An updated technology map for the workshop is available - Please use this as a working tool for the in-person session.
We look forward to your participation!
