Description

Although linear perturbations of black hole solutions have been studied in great detail, much less is known about quadratic fluctuations. In this work, we take a step forward in this direction by first analyzing simple toy models — the Inverted Hydrogen Atom in four-dimensional Minkowski spacetime and pure AdS — where we construct closed-form solutions for quadratic perturbations. We then turn to the gravity–scalar sector of an N=2,D=4 supergravity Lagrangian, deriving linear and quadratic quasi-normal mode solutions perturbatively in the black hole mass.
